Residential Construction Management in Metro Atlanta

Construction management is the planning, scheduling, budgeting and oversight that turns a set of plans into a finished home. A construction manager lines up the permits, schedules each trade in the right order, tracks costs against the budget and makes sure every stage passes inspection. JMJ Construction Group manages residential projects across metro Atlanta, from custom homes to large renovations.

On a big project, the building is rarely the hard part. Delays come from trades showing up out of order, materials arriving late and decisions that weren't made in time. Our job is to keep all of that moving so you aren't the one coordinating it. See our home construction and home additions pages for the projects we manage most.

      Construction Management Questions, Answered

What does a construction manager do?

A construction manager plans and runs the project: setting the budget and schedule, pulling permits, hiring and scheduling trades, ordering materials, checking quality, coordinating inspections and keeping the owner updated. On a home build, that's the difference between a project that flows and one that stalls between trades.

What's the difference between a construction manager and a general contractor?

The roles overlap. A general contractor usually holds the contracts with the trades and is responsible for delivering the finished project for an agreed price. In some construction management arrangements, the owner holds those contracts and the manager coordinates and oversees them. We'll explain how we'd structure your project during the consultation.

Can you build on a lot I already own?

Yes. We'll review the lot, your plans and any local requirements, then manage site prep, foundation and the full build through final inspection.

How do you handle changes during construction?

Every change is written up with its cost and any effect on the schedule, and the work only goes ahead once you approve it. That way the budget you see always matches the project being built.

      Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. JMJ Construction Group holds Georgia GC license GCI000260 and carries liability coverage through Next Insurance, with proof available before work begins.
      Is the consultation free?

Yes. We'll review your plans and goals and talk through budget, schedule and next steps at no cost and no obligation.
