Drywall Services in Metro Atlanta

Drywall repair restores damaged walls and ceilings by cutting out or patching the damaged board, taping and mudding the seams, and sanding and texturing the area so it blends with the surface around it. JMJ Construction Group repairs and installs drywall across metro Atlanta, from a single doorknob hole to every wall and ceiling in a finished basement or addition.

A good repair disappears once it's painted, and that comes down to the finishing. We feather each patch wide, match the texture, and prime it so it doesn't show through the paint. When the damage came from a leak, we find and fix the source first. We can also handle the interior painting afterward.

What Drywall Repair and Installation Cost

Drywall prices move with the size of the job and how much finishing it needs.

    • The number and size of repairs, or the square footage of new board
    • Ceilings, which take more time and setup than walls
    • Texture matching or a smooth, high-level finish
    • Removing water-damaged board and drying the framing
    • Priming and painting once the drywall is done

Our team works out of Marietta and hangs, tapes and finishes drywall for remodels, additions and basements. We also repair water damage, cracks and holes, then match the texture so the patch disappears once it's painted.

We handle drywall projects in Tucker, Kennesaw and Decatur, plus the rest of the metro.

      Drywall Questions, Answered

How much does drywall repair cost?

A few small holes cost much less than a ceiling section replaced after a leak. The price depends on how many repairs there are, their size, whether the area is a wall or ceiling, and the texture we need to match. We'll look at the damage and give you a free, itemized estimate.

Will the repair show after painting?

It shouldn't. We feather the joint compound past the edge of the patch, match the wall texture and prime the repair so it absorbs paint like the rest of the wall. For the best result, we paint the whole wall rather than just the patch, since even the same paint can look different on new and aged surfaces.

Why do the cracks in my walls keep coming back?

Cracks that return at the same spot, often above doors and windows, usually mean the joint tape has failed or the framing is moving with temperature and humidity. Filling the crack again won't hold. We remove the failed tape, re-tape the joint, and look for signs of a bigger issue that needs attention.

How long does drywall installation take?

Hanging the board goes quickly. Finishing takes longer, because each coat of joint compound needs to dry before sanding and the next coat. A room usually takes several days from hanging to paint-ready. We'll give you a schedule for your project.

      Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. JMJ Construction Group holds Georgia GC license GCI000260 and carries liability coverage through Next Insurance, with proof available before work begins.

      Do you offer free estimates?

Always. We'll look at the walls or ceilings, talk through what's needed and provide a detailed written estimate at no cost and no obligation.
